Service Description
We live in a culture that constantly tells us our bodies aren’t good enough — from social media feeds to advertisements that define “beauty” in narrow, unrealistic ways. It’s easy to internalize those messages and end up feeling disconnected, self-critical, or ashamed of your body. Struggling with how you feel about your body, along with self-judgement, anxiety and stress, you're left feeling disconnected, defeated, and unworthy. If you identify with this, know that you're not alone. There is a path to feeling feel more at ease and confident in your own skin. Without the right tools and guidance, the critical self-talk and emotional distress can be painful and overwhelming. Feeling defeated can keep you from engaging with friends, family, and activities you may enjoy. The never ending self-criticism and unworthiness may leave you lonely and unable to live your best life. This program offers a compassionate new path. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a respected, evidence-based program developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. MBSR is recognized worldwide for its proven results and widespread respect. Through mindfulness practices, you'll learn how to relate to your body with greater kindness and awareness — shifting from judgment and comparison to appreciation and care. Each class includes guided meditation, gentle, mindful movement, group reflection, and home practices designed to help you bring mindfulness into daily life. Over eight weeks, you’ll explore: How to recognize and quiet your inner critic Ways to meet difficult emotions with curiosity and kindness Mindful movement and body awareness practices to reconnect with yourself Techniques for working with stress, anxiety, and overwhelm Approaches to cultivating gratitude and self-compassion Guided by a teacher who has walked this same path, you’ll explore ways to develop gratitude and acceptance for your body, soften your harsh inner voice, and strengthen your capacity for emotional resilience and self-kindness. Start your journey toward a steadier, more confident way of being. You deserve to feel at home in your body — let’s begin.
